Tarte Amazonian clay foundation review

I'm very exited to do this review today of the 'Tarte Amazonian clay Foundaation' this is my first time trying any Tarte product! I've been wanting to try one of their foundations for a while now, I love the whole ethos of the brand they use natural healthy ingredients and their cruelty free and vegan and their packaging is natural looking yet fun and girly.

I am usually a fan of more natural looking satin finish foundations, however when your skin has a few blemishes or you just want to go for a more glamorous look, i think its always safe to have a slightly thicker foundation on back up.

Texture
The Tarte amazonian clay has a mousse like texture it reminds me of the maybelline dream matte mousse only obviously higher quality.
It blends onto the skin easily, i used it along with my beauty blender as i just feel the beauty blender does the best job for me.
I was quite worried at first as someone who's skin is on the drier side that it would cling to dry patches, but it did no such thing, and is actually surprisingly moisturising.

coverage
It claims to be full coverage but you can adjust and make it a lighter coverage, it's said to be a matte finish however i would say its more on the velvet side which i much prefer.
The foundation has a slight sheen/sparkle to it but nothing unnatural.
It definitely covers blemishes and scarring, its my go to around that time of the month when i have a few pesky spots.

Staying power
It definitely lives up to its claims of being 12hour, which i haven't found from many foundations, if you tend to have oilier skin then you may need to powder but other than that it does stay put, even when sweating!

I got mine in the shade 'Fair Beige' which i think is a pretty perfect match i have very pale porcelain skin and usually prefer to buy a foundation with yellow undertones, however when i took the foundation finder quiz on Tarte's website i was recommended this shade which has neutral undertones, i was worried it may be too pink but it doesn't look pink at all.

(Here's an image of me wearing the foundation)

pros:

-Long wearing
-Great coverage
-Non-drying
-Natural ingredients
-cruelty free
-Suitable for all skin types
-Opaque packaging

cons:

-No SPF (that i'm aware of)

Overall I am very pleased with this foundation from Tarte, i love the texture, coverage, and packaging, as well as the great ingredients, its definitely on the pricier side at £30 however i did get 15% off on the day so it was only £25 which was great.
The only thing is when purchasing from the UK as it comes from the US, you do have to pay delivery however delivery is free to the uk if you spend £40 or more so its worth spending a little extra as it actually works out cheaper than paying for delivery.
So all in all this foundation is great and i would definitely recommend!

Hope you liked this lil review and found it helpful?
Let me know your thoughts? have you tried this foundation from tarte?
If you have any questions about the product feel free to ask!

Have a great day!
