Easy healthy cookie dough style protein oat bites (Vegan & Gluten free)

I think i have a bit of an obsession with banana based oat bars, as you can probably tell by the amount of different recipes on my blog. 
So here I am back at it with another one for you! 
These make for a great post or pre-workout snack, there deliciously mourish and packed full of nutrients and a great way to use up those over-ripe bananas. 
hope you enjoy!


50g of oats 
2tbsp of peanut butter 
(you can also substitute for almond etc)
1tbsp of coconut oil
2 bananas 
1tbsp of hemp protein powder
handful of cacao nibs 
1/2 tsp cinnamon 
1/2 tsp of nutmeg 


1. Start by melting the coconut oil and peanut butter in a pan on a medium heat.
2. Then add in your oats to the peanut butter and coconut oil mixture and cover all the oats with it. 
Then remove from the heat and place the mixture into a mixing bowl. 

3. next take your bananas and mash them up and then add to the oat mix and stir. 
4. then take the rest of your ingredients add them into the mixture and give it a good stir. 

5. once you have your mixture now its time to place onto a baking tray and place in the oven for 20-30minutes or until golden brown at 180 degrees. 
6. Once baked let them cool for 10 minutes then serve. 

Makes approx 8 pieces 

Calories: approx 120cals per piece 

Prep time: 5 minutes          Cook time: 20-30minutes 

(You can keep them in the refrigerator for up to 3 days)
