Clinique beyond perfecting Foundation + Concealer

I've been on the hunt for the perfect foundation for a while now as you do! I've always been a fan of Clinique products since i was a teen and my foundation for many years was their 'super balanced foundation', since then i tried a few other brands but somehow found myself back on Clinique.

I decided to try out their 'beyond perfecting foundation + concealer', the thing that drew me to this one of course was that its a foundation & concealer in one, never been a fan of 2in1's but I'm trying to save money so what better way than to have 2 products in one!

The foundation is a liquid formula however slightly thicker than your usual liquid foundation, after all it is a concealor as well.
Despite it being thicker it is surprisingly easy to blend, and has a natural satin finish but also very moderate to heavy coverage.

Lasting power
It does from what i can tell last all day, it claims to stay put despite sweating, however it didn't seem to do that.

I know a lot of people aren't too fond of the applicator on this product as it is a large doe-foot, which if you use you will be putting bacteria into the bottle after using on your face.
However I found an easy solution around this one as i just tip the product onto the back of my hand for my face makeup, and when concealing i will use the doe-foot as it only goes under my eyes.

Skin types
Clinique states this foundation is suitable for the type 2 and 3 skin types which are Dry-Combination to Combination-oily.
My skin tends to be between dry and combination and even with dry patches the foundation does not dry out my skin.
It is non-comodegenic and designed not to clog pores as many foundations can be pore blocking.

I got this in the shade 'Alabaster' which i was matched with and is cliniques lightest shade however unfortunately with the majority of cliniques foundation shade's they are far to pink, being very pale with yellow undertones this is not so good.
Due to this I haven't been using it as my foundation, but since i didn't want to waste the product i have decided to just use it as under eye concealor instead since the pink balances out the blueish dark circles.

Overall i do like the foundation, however it could do with some improvements such as the shade range, and applicator.
Its pretty pricey at £28 however for a high-end foundation thats pretty standard and its also a concealor as well so you save on that.

- Long lasting
- Light weight
- Good coverage
- Doesn't clog pores
- oil free
- natural looking

- Shades (far to pink)
- Applicator
- no SPF

Hope you liked this review, let me know your thoughts? Have you tried this foundation? did you like it?

Have a great day!
