Why you have to take things in to your own hands with chronic illness?

After suffering with chronic illness for a few years 'endometriosis' and 'chronic fatigue syndrome' and getting no where despite frequent doctors visits, medications and even surgeries I've come to the conclusion that if I just keep waiting for them to help me I'm never going to get better.
I have been making steps in the right direction over the past few years changing my diet, changing my way of thinking, and trying alternative therapies with little to no luck.

I see my doctor regularly and I'm frequently prescribed medications that don't work and told therapy will help.
Sure I have some mental issues through all the years of trauma I went through it's not surprising, but even therapy can't cure a physical illness.

This year I am making it a priority to put my health first and get the help and support I need I'm sick of being fobbed off by doctors and it's time I stood up for myself and got them to actually take me seriously and if that means going over their head and finding a better doctor if at all possible? then that's what I'll do.

Don't listen to what others are telling you even health professionals because when it comes to chronic illness only 'you' know what your going through and what will help 'you'.
Even if it means you don't take the traditional medicine route it's best to try out things for yourself and see what works.
I know there isn't a cure for chronic illness but there must be a way of getting some sort of relief, so we can live normal lives and not spend our live's bed bound in severe pain, nobody should have to live that way and I don't believe that that's all there will ever be for us!
I'm extremely stubborn and I'm honestly not just willing to take this diagnosis and to believe that this will be my life forever I won't ever take that and neither should you!
Keep on seeing your GP keep on complaining keep on asking until they take you seriously and help you!
Keep on raising awareness and spreading the message!

There is hope for all of us!

Hope you liked this post!
Let me know your thoughts?
How have you managed to help your illness?

Have a great day!
