Tummy friendly hummus

I absolutely love hummus or houmous it literally makes everything taste good, but as an IBS and Endometriosis sufferer i have a lot of trouble digesting it.
I'm sure its mainly because of the garlic in it as garlic can be a trigger for those of us with ibs or just a sensitive stomach, so i decided to come up with my own hummus recipe that is tummy friendly, its garlic free but still extremely tasty, all natural and can be flavoured in many ways. 


1 can of chickpeas 
4 tablespoons of tahini 
handful of fresh coriander ( dry will also work) 
1/2 a teaspoon of turmeric 
juice of 1 lemon 
2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar 
salt & black pepper 


Take all of your ingredients and place them into a food processor or high speed blender and blend until smooth or desired texture and thats it!
Top with extra chickpeas if you like or drizzle oil. 

Feel free to change up the flavour with your hummus, you could make it spicy, add aubergine, red peppers, sundried tomatoes, pesto, or anything you wish! 

Serves 4 approx 
(Can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days, may also be frozen)

Also I know many with IBS actually have trouble digesting chickpeas and pulses so if this is a problem for you i will have a raw vegan hummus recipe on the way soon which doesn't contain any chickpeas!
