Spiced apple latte 'coffee alternative'

You may have seen my recent post, with the recipe for a 'beetroot latte', since i loved that one so much i decided to come up with another superfood latte, this 'Spiced apple latte'.
Its sweet, spicy, warming and poses an array of benefits including probiotics, weight control, prevention of cancer, anti inflammatory, fights diabetes an even whitens teeth, 'an apple a day really does keep the doctor away'.

Sweet potato & Beetroot soup, topped with roasted red peppers

I absolutely love soups, especially during the colder months, there comforting, warming, filling and filled with nutritients.
There a great way to use up any leftover ingredients and you can be as inventive as you like with the flavours.
This sweet potato & beetroot soup was definitely made on a whim with leftovers but it was absolutely delicious the flavours really combined together well, and created a thick yet smooth soup.

How to lose weight in a healthy way?

As a society it seems like were always dieting and so obsessed with the way we look. 
Everything we see on social media and on magazines is always how to lose weight? The latest fad diets and young girls starving themselves to try and look like there fave celebrity or Instagram models. 
The truth is no one really looks that way naturally and if they do their a very small 1% of the population. 
Celebrities and models have the privilege of having access to some of the best dieticians, personal trainers, and even plastic surgeons in the world. 
Not to mention they can afford the best quality food and they have the gift of time! Which many of us don't have. 

What really struck me to write this post was hearing my younger sisters talk the other day about how they wanted lose weight, and how they were restricting their diets and even starving themselves completely, and going as far to call themselves fat! 
This is heartbreaking for me to hear that young girls are going to extreme measures and feel so insecure about their body's because of what they see on social media and from their peers. 

As someone who has suffered with eating disorders my whole life since I was 8 years old it's devastating to see young girls in this mindset. 
Having an eating disorder so young in my life was very detrimental to my health and growth.
I never really enjoyed my childhood because I was constantly trying to loose weight and achieve unattainable standards. 
Not to mension that it can have so much impact on your physical health too.

I am finally at a point in my life where i can live a healthy lifestyle and actually eat what i want and not feel guilty, and it feels amazing!
I still struggle at times with intrusive thoughts but I think Eating disorders are something that you struggle with forever especially if you are someone who has struggled with one for the majority of your life like myself.
But you have to keep on kicking that ed's ass!

Anyway I thought I would give a few tips on ways I feel can help you lose weight in a healthy way, in no way am i saying that you should lose weight.
I think all body shapes and sizes are beautiful and no one should ever feel pressured to lose weight because of others, weight loss should be something you do for yourself and yourself only!
I don't believe in Diets full stop! you should never restrict your calories, its all about changing your lifestyle a Healthy diet and Exercise is the only way to lose weight and maintain.
I am not a Doctor or Nutritionist, however I am currently studying to be a Pilates instructor and certified Nutritionist, and health and fitness is something I am very passionate about and I am someone with a healthy lifestyle and healthy weight.

Why can't life be like a Hallmark movie?

So its that time of year again, when spending chilly nights by the fire curled up in a blanket, sipping hot cocoa, and watching christmas movies feel's like heaven.
I've been watching a lot of christmas movies lately, more specifically hallmark movies.
I know I like to start early, but Christmas is just my favourite time of year, the decorations, the food the parties, it just feels so magical, especially when watching a hallmark movie.
There so heartwarming and comforting and make you feel so motivated, to be kind to others, and follow your dreams.

But when you switch of the TV and get back to your daily life you realise just how far from reality Hallmark movies really are.
You know how they go they start of with a character who seems to be down on their luck, a struggling parent, an unlucky in love singleton, are grieving, or have an estranged family.
You relate to them at first because lets face it we all have problems.
But as the movie progresses the character seems to have got themselves a fairy godmother, they end up landing their dream job or meeting mr right, and they all live happily ever after, even the cynical or mean characters end up having a heart deep down inside.

Beetroot Latte

I love a good latte, vanilla latte, pumpkin spice latte, gingerbread lattes, and so on, however there not exactly the healthiest, as a caffeine addict i like to try and cut down the coffee, because although its great, it doesn't always have the nicest side effects!

I am sure you've all heard of the healthy trendy lattes by now like matcha lattes and turmeric lattes not only do they have a bunch of nutritional benefits but there also delicious.
But have you heard of beetroot lattes yet? I recently came across them online of course, and thought to myself thats very interesting I must try it!

Beetroot poses an array of health benefits including lowering blood pressure, cancer fighting, reducing inflammation and detoxifying as well as being full of vitamins and minerals.
And even if your not a huge beetroot fan you'd be surprised just how delicious this beetroot latte is and to top it all off there pink and look super cute!

My Endometriosis story

I've been wanting to share my story with Endometriosis for a while now, but have only just built up the courage to actually write it.
Endometriosis is a severely painful and debilitating illness that more awareness needs to be made of  so hopefully I can do some of that.

I lie in my bed as I write this, it's a Sunday and I am coming onto my period, I am in severe pain that feels like someone's stabbing me in my uterus, I have my heating pad strapped to my adbdonen, trying to relieve the pain. 
I feel completely sick to my stomach and have been vomiting for most of the day due to the excrutiating pain. 
I've felt this way for 2 weeks straight already yet my period still hasn't begun.
